Kristy Jones became our property manager in July 2019 after we had a problem with another agency. Kristy was very helpful, provided useful advice and feedback and kept us informed on maintenance issues and conducted regular comprehensive inspections. We found Kristy to be very professional in her dealings with us and was always courteous and friendly. We recently sold the property after the tenants moved out and Kristy was helpful during the transition process.
Provides exceptional customer service

Blackshaw did a good job
Having experienced a good and a mediocre rental agency, Blackshaw did a very good job while I was renting one of their properties as the tenant. They were responsive, communicated in a timely fashion, acknowledged issues and worked quickly to resolve them. If you’re looking at a property for lease through them, I think it’ll be a low-stress and pleasant experience. (The current agency I’m renting through now makes me sad I had to move away. Current agency (not Blackshaw, rhymes with …bright pino…is truly incompetent).
The level of communication has been excellent

Excellent support in a tough selling market
Zac and Christine were very supportive from the start of the process - getting the house ready to go market, during the selling process, and after the sale. They were always available, communicated well. and gave good advice. It was a difficult time to sell with so many interest rate rises. The most pleasant agent I dealt with in the area and during my search for a house
I found Pat to be very professional indeed. In total, I saw three homes with Pat and eventually buying the last of the three inspected. Information on the house was provided in an efficient and timely manner and in that regard, she represented her vendors as an agent should. Also, never during the period of negotiations did she pressure me to act before I was ready and I was treated at all times with courtesy and respect. Purchasing the home at an onsite auction can be stressful at the best of times and my experience was no different. At a time when it's easy to pressure buyers during tense negotiations, Pat did not take that path and she helped me remain calm and measured at all times which resulted in a purchase price that I was happy with. It was a pleasure to deal with Pat and I'm sure her vendors would agree with me that a good result was the outcome for all concerned in the transaction.

Above and beyond
Zach went above and beyond to sell our property. He is young, ambitious and enthusiastic but with a maturity beyond his years. When he said he would work “day and night” to sell our property we didn’t take him literally - but he responded to our texts and emails immediately, regardless of the hour of the day. He showed people through our property first thing in the morning and last thing at night, sometimes for the same party. We observed him to be particularly skilled at managing the various stakeholders involved in a sale - always polite and professional regardless of the pressures of the situation. Zach also helped us to buy our “forever” home - so although we hope not to need a real-estate again anytime soon - we’d recommend Zach and the team at Peter Blackshaw Manuka!

Outstanding service and result
From the moment we asked Sean if he could sell our apartment, he was on to it straight away! By the time we got home from speaking to him there were already emails from him discussing the suburb, surrounding properties, and estimated value of the apartment, he had also contacted our property manager giving notice of intention to sell! Sean is super organised and efficient. If we called him and he couldn’t answer, he would text saying when he would be in touch, and he was always true to his word. He is a straight shooter, what you see is what you get, we found him to be very transparent and honest. The whole process of selling our apartment from beginning to end was seamless, Sean discussed everything that would happen, potential outcomes, and fees, so we had no surprises. He would always call after every open home, and anytime there was something to report, so we always felt we were kept in the loop. Another thing we really liked was that he always wanted to be fair to all others involved in the process of selling the apartment, including the tenants and prospective buyers, which showed me what a high level of integrity he has. The most wonderful, and incredible outcome was that he was able to secure an offer on the apartment that was significantly more than what we thought we would get! Any future properties that we sell will be sold by Sean, we couldn’t recommend him highly enough. There are RE agents and RE agents. Selling a property is much more than finding a buyer. Pat is the best. She went out of her way to help us with our purchase. We attended the property a couple of times before settlement to take some measurements etc. Pat always made herself and the property available for inspection. We looked at several properties before finding one to suit our needs. Pat was extremely patient in dealing with two difficult buyers. She worked hard for the seller. The property was not well presented making her job somewhat difficult. It was possibly a hard sale for Pat. I feel that she earned every bit of her commission. My Experience with looking for a property with Blackshaw Real Estate Agent Molly was actioned so smoothly. She & Company was so helpful in many ways. Starting from registering for an inspection & they understood my needs. Up until I became a successful tenant the Real Estate Agent was with me every step of the way with all the many questions I had to ask. The service was like no other. I would definitely rent again through them
I rented an apartment in Crace through Blackshaw Gungahlin from Jan 2019 till early Oct 2021. I had a great experience with the property manager Craig and Blackshaw. Things were dealt with easily and quicker for example the small maintenance issues I had. Communication was good. Using PropertyMe worked well and made it easy for me to see things. Basically from the application to the final inspection it was a great rental experience and I only left because I brought a house but I would definitely rent again through them.

As tenants looking to rent our experience with Zoe, the leasing consultant, was nothing short of outstanding. With how hot the Canberra market has been we had genuine fears we would end up homeless for a time, especially with our application having previously been glanced over many times before.

Despite the state of the market meaning a property could be rented with relative ease (and so tenants lack really any sort of power), Zoe heard our concerns and went out of her way to find us a rental. Fantastic and deserves recognition
Zoe is a fantastic leasing agent. I had been looking for somewhere to rent in Canberra for over a month. The experience was beyond discouraging, with many leasing agents proving unhelpful in what is one of the toughest rental markets in Australia. I found many leasing agents only serviced the owner, and not both sides of the market. Radio silence on applications for well past a week, and failure to relay the outcome was common.

Very responsive
We had Blackshaw Manuka as the agent of the home we previously rented. Just wanted to leave a good review for the agents Wendy Higgs and Dan Busing. Key experience i wouldn't forget was when there were repairs that needed to be done and we were ready to just accept the inconvenience while we were at the house but Wendy suggested the repairs to be done after we vacate instead. Both of them are very responsive which is miles away from the previous property managers we experienced. They've also been very thorough in the inspections they did compared to earlier inspections. In summary, I believe that they are truly concerned about both the renters' and owners' concerns.
Amazing Agent
Bronte Morton from Blackshaw was just brilliant managing the purchase of our home at Malua Bay. She is very professional in her dealing with clients and the seller of houses. We found Bronte very approachable no matter what the requests and prompt in responding to us and the vendor. We negotiated the purchase price and conditions, agreed terms with the vendor, and exchanged contracts of the sale, all within one week of the property being listed. This was almost totally the result of Bronte's hard work and effort in carefully managing her relationship with both the vendor and ourselves. We had Blackshaw Manuka as the agent of the home we previously rented. Just wanted to leave a good review for the agents Wendy Higgs and Dan Busing. Key experience i wouldn't forget was when there were repairs that needed to be done and we were ready to just accept the inconvenience while we were at the house but Wendy suggested the repairs to be done after we vacate instead. Both of them are very responsive which is miles away from the previous property managers we experienced. They've also been very thorough in the inspections they did compared to earlier inspections. In summary, I believe that they are truly concerned about both the renters' and owners' concerns.

Resounding success
Jack recently assisted us to sell my elderly mother's home after previously helping us with our family home. We selected Pat Jameson to sell our property in Tomakin, because she had been the most successful local agent selling residential properties there over the previous year or so. A family Property time to sell. Chris Churchill, (he likes CC) was recommended as an honest agent. Did I say difficult times? Covid had hit, no open house actually a tough time to list. We went private treaty no option. So he is doing appointments old school. So let’s talk the result. Highest price ever in the street. CC negotiated and negotiated for us, he was there for the building report, CC was there for 2nd building report. CC kept us advised at every twist and turn for the going on 2 month journey, enabling us to make the right decisions. We knocked back 3 offers in the time. We are happy, the buyer is happy. Was different from the other agents and offered a fresh perspective
We met with about 5 agents when preparing to sell our house in the bush. While he is experienced in rural properties, Chris probably had the least experience selling property in our area. This appealed to us because his strategy for selling was different from the other agents and offered a fresh perspective. Chris was the only agent to encourage us to sell at auction (which other agents said was an unpopular option), and while there was a risk involved, we had a fantastic outcome - much better than anticipated. The most important things that we were looking for in a real estate agent is honesty, a good knowledge of the radically changing market, being able to communicate well to us and respect ourselves and our property.

Pat Jameson was engaged as our agent, because she exceeds all of these qualities. She gave us an honest down-to-earth appraisal of our property, showing admiration for all the work we had done. She communicated each stage of the process to us, ensuring that we were available for various appointments such as photography, etc. She was also available to us any time of the day, night, weekend. We asked Matt to provide us with a quote for two properties which we needed to sell over a period of a few months. He gave us an extremely good deal to sell both properties and came up with a game plan to ensure we could get the best price for both. Our first property sold within a couple of days at a price we could only have dreamed of. The second property required much negotiation on behalf of Matt and Michael, we were unsure as to whether or not to take an offer but they assured us and recommended we hold out for the money we all new the property was worth. Jess provided very good advice and answers to our questions. She was very available, responsive and understanding.
